for Neighborhood Children

Announcing a call for Volunteers!

Please check your schedule (and your heart) and see if you can find time to volunteer with our Project Feed and Read, between July 6th and August 14th, from 11a.m. to 2 p.m..  Children will eat lunch between 11a.m. and 1p.m., followed by a reading time from 1p.m. to 2p.m..  Volunteers are needed to eat with the children and to read with them afterwards.  Can you give some of your time?

Glenwood Park is recruiting Team Leaders and team members for a weekend of volunteering, in Project Shine, July 18th and July 19th.  Teams are needed to do various tasks around the neighborhood schools, including Korte, Nowlin, Van Horn, and Chrisman on those days.  If you can give a few hours those days, please stop by to pick up an application at the church, or at the Independence District office, 3225 S. Noland Road.  You can call 521-5502 for more information.
